401k 2024 Limits Over 50. You can contribute to more than one 401 (k) plan. The 401 (k) contribution limits for 2024 are $23,000 for individuals under 50, and $30,500 for those 50 and older.

This includes all your personal contributions and any money your employer contributes to your 401 (k) on your behalf. Employees age 50 or older may contribute up to an additional $7,500 for a total of $30,500.
